The Department of Medicine at Tata Main Hospital is concerned with restoring and maintaining overall health and wellness with the treatment of everyday ailments. Medicine being a diverse field, medical care is provided in a variety of locations. At TMH, in addition to the treatment provided in inpatient hospital settings, a Specialist Clinic was started in the year 2008, marking the centenary celebrations of Tata Steel.

• Infective Diseases: All Infectious Diseases
• Respiratory Diseases: All respiratory diseases Including Non-invasive ventilation
• Haematological Disease: All haematological diseases Including Bone Marrow aspiration and Biopsy
• Gastrointestinal disease: Including Upper and Lower Gastrointestinal bleeding, Hepatobiliary diseases etc.
• Rheumatology:  All cases of connective tissue disease, arthritis, Vasculitis etc. including the use of biologics.
• Endocrinology: All cases of endocrinology including Diabetes Mellitus, Thyroid, Pituitary, adrenal and other diseases. 
• Miscellaneous Diseases Not included in other categories
• Acutely ill cases needing Cardiovascular Monitoring, Hemodynamical and Respiratory support are treated in the IMCU
• Acutely ill cases needing Critical care and Mechanical Ventilatory Support are treated in the CCU.

• Indoor Facility for all Internal Medicine cases including COVID management
• Availability of 24 X 7 specialists in the hospital

We also take part in Post graduate training (DNB Medicine) recognised by by the National Board of Examinations. It is a centre of choice among top ranking DNB candidates. We have a very impressive pass rate over the last 5 years.
